Phone Repairs:

There is a phone jack in the entertainment hutch thing that's built into one wall here. It's nice. We can hide the TV and moderate our TV habits a bit. However, we had to drill some holes for wire and power to some of the shelves, but life's not perfect.

Anyway... there's also a phone jack there. This would be good since the Cable (for some reason) and the TiVo need to dial out ocassionally. What would be better is if they worked. We added the local Bell's "Line Insurance" with the thought that this would come in handy.

However, I just made a potentially expensive appointment. If the first technician who comes sometime between the crack of dawn and 8pm can fix it, there will be a charge of $85 the first half and $30 for each addittional 15 minutes. If they have to call an second technician to do it, that tech will charge a flat fee of $95.

Am I alone or does this not make sense.

Could it have possibly been more if we didn't have the insurance? Why does the second guy get a flat fee? What's going on here?
