Has utexas.edu lost some of it's cache?

Mark's newphew and niece (2 of the 8) are now both at UT. If you look them up on the student directory, they have their yahoo and aol addresses listed. Neither has a utexas.edu address listed. Has that address lost it's cache?

I remember that I couldn't wait to get out of highschool, get to college, and get a real email address. Only college people had them in '93. You could get a BBS address. There was propogating mail back then. But I didn't understand the format. It looked, strange to me.

But now, anyone who can use a net connection, which includes most 8 year olds, can get an email address. I guess, unless you're at the well, it's less of a status symbol.
