I could take the job ...

But would it be killing my career?

I had a job interview yesterday. She told me that I would be the first person that they would call. However, she did ask me to really, REALLY weigh if I could take a 1 year commitment with them. I decided on the 1 year "Stick around" time.

But would it kill my career?

It's basically a Secretary Job that uses computers. They are passing my resume around to see if other / higher departments might be interested in me at the Realty. However ...

I am a Softare Developer. I always will be. I can be even if my day job isn't. I could work on open source software and keep going as a developer.

But would this kill my career?

Answering machine voice ! ! !

Well, I looked over the resume and cover letter I had sent these guys back in January. I got my self psyched up, called, and got the her voice mail.

And much to my regret, I was afflicted with "Stiff Voice Mail Voice, I have no personality, I just leave details." NOOO ! ! ! !

*sigh* ...

Oh well. Regardless, I'm back in the game.

Old leads still burning

My good friend Alvin just called. An IT Support-ish / secretary position just opened up ... err... again...

He had mentioned it a few months ago.
It is a secretary position with some IT needs. By Programmer Standards, it doesn't pay that much. However, it is a starting position with a company that is growing.

Additionally, I am in agreement that a small amount is much MUCH more than 0.

Additionally, I believe it would be enough to focus on seriously killing some Credit Card and Student Loan Debt. Beans and Rice Baby.

... I'm killing time, trying to gather my wits to be honest, while the resume I sent off to this Real Estate Company is printing.
