It beats flipping eggs...

I'm listening to a rebroadcast of Fresh Air interviewing ADAM SCHLESINGER and CHRIS COLLINGWOOD who are co-founders of the band "Fountains of Wayne". The just mentioned that no matter how bad things are going or what stumble they're on during their tours, their drummer can say "well, it beats flipping eggs..."

And you know, it's a lot easire to say then "Well, no bombs are dropping on our city. We don't aren't worried about finding fresh water. And there are no occupying troups in our cities."

Oh, and we're at an "Air Pollution watch, level RED" today. So iif breathing bad air is hard for you ... well, just ... ahh ... don't breath too much today.

Back to the basics

The tea hasn't really kicked in yet. Then again, it was decaf. I'm trying to make sure that I don't get hooked on it / need it.

So far, it's a slow but steady start to the day. Today, I'm planning on gong further with installing Tomcat on my newly tweaked machine. I also want to see if I can get the eclipse config a bit cleaner.

... Rudy was supposed to call yesterday. I had agreed to get his DSL up and running including installing his ethernet card. That'll happen eventually. But having some more time to put together an updated Windows Essential CD would be good.

So far, Mark and I have come up with

  • Spybot Search and Destroy
  • ZoneAlarm
  • Flashget
  • Dup Detector
  • An older version of ACDSee
  • HS Config (for DSL)
  • Virus Software, maybe grisoft's product
  • Add Remove Pro
  • PGP
  • VNC
  • Textpad
  • Trillian & GAIM

... more thought on that later. I better get the girl going now that Marketplace is over.
